Bone and Stone Necklaces, mid-Neolithic Age ornaments, malachite, 3cm long, unearthed at the Site of Ka-rub in Chab-mdo County in 1978

Body ornaments of primitive times can be generally classified into fixed ornaments (tattoo, etc.) and movable ornaments (necklaces, ornaments on hands, waists, and feet, etc.). ornaments embodied the spiritual life, customs and habits of primitive people. 50 pieces of ornaments were unearthed at the Site of Ka-rub, including hairpins, arc-shaped jades, rings, beads, necklaces, bracelets, shell ornaments, tablets and pendants. Most of them were well polished and refined, showing fine craftsmanship of early Ka-rub ancestors.

Aristocrats paid particular attention to hygiene. Usually they would wear a knife-and-chopsticks sheath and perfume bag at the waist when going out. When they went to dine as a guest at someone's home, they would use their own bowl and implements.
